Dear Sister-in-Law,

If you could be so kind to just treat me right… I would appreciate it. It may be that you don’t feel like your brother made the right choice. Perhaps you would rather have had a sister-in-law that was much more refined, educated, and sophisticated.

I’m sorry that I don’t meet your expectations. But please don’t be mean to me. Don’t look down at me. Don’t mistreat me. Don’t talk bad about me. Believe it or not… the walls talk. They always do.  

Your hurtful behavior towards me brings injury to my marriage.

Your hostility is nerve-racking.
Your cruel and bitter criticism is but fuel to the fire.     

LIVE WITH IT… I AM HERE TO STAY!  

I would certainly be remiss if I didn’t let you know that I don’t dislike you despite your vitriol. I just distaste the hate you have for me. Could it be possible for us to put our differences aside and make it work, for your brother’s sake?   Sincerely, Tulip
