Shield for the Fiery Days

It’s only been three weeks since we rang in 2018. You are probably
still fueled and devoted to the newness, a move forward, and to
building healthier habits. But be vigilant so you do not to fall into
the same routines that you had before. You will run into different
seasons in this New Year and that is just a part of life. But before
they come, I want you to armor up to combat them.

You will have days with storms and droughts like the days of autumn,
disaster, death and unemployment.

You will have cold and frigid days like those of the winter, disappointments and breakups.

Then as the days of spring approaches, all the dry and inanimate things are coming
back to life. It is the season of growth and blooms, new Jobs, tying
the knot and the birth of a child.

And just like that the summer days come. These days brings peace and enjoyment, the nice walks in the park, relaxation and adventure.

When these seasons come and I know they will. Be sure to be ready to
embrace the good ones and fight back the bad ones. The latter days
will be thrown at you like a missile. So, take up your shield.

There will be days when you’ll feel alone. You won’t be. Someone is
cheering you on.
There will be days when you can’t see what’s ahead. Don’t look back. Keep looking ahead.
There will be days when failure will come knocking. Its ok! Open the door.
There will be days when all doors will seem to be closed. Get the key
and unlock it.
There will be days when it will rain. Look up for the rainbow that’s coming.
There will be a day when you’ll be a caterpillar. Be patient. You’ll
soon be a butterfly.
There will be days when your ex will come back. Say no! They’re an ex
for a reason.
There will be days when you will have to take a test. Take it & Pass it!
There will be days where everything will seem to fall apart. But they won’t!
There will be days when you will grieve. Remember the great memories
There will be days when you will feel like throwing in the towel. Keep
fighting.
There will be days when you’ll feel outnumbered. The strongest ONE is
on your side

Some days will be a walk in the park and some will be like getting
stuck between a rock and a hard place. You get to make the decision of
how you are going to allow these days to affect you. You are the
thermostat of your life.

Hold your shield up and fight the good fight.

  1. Amen to that Sis! This is a great source of encouragement for many who may have encountered some devastating blows within only 15 days of the New Year. But praise be to God that it is only the beginning and we haven’t seen our best days yet. The great thing about God is that our best days always ahead of us and never behind. Therefore, despite the tragedies or turmoil that we may have experienced thus far, we can smile and know that our God has great plans in store for us according to His word:
“I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.” ~Jeremiah 29:11
