She is a praise dance Extraordinaire. You go girl! Currently, she added ballet to her biography. She is goal-orientated and I love it. I look at her and I’m like, “I want to be like her when I grow up.” Talk about #GirlRock and #BlackGirlMagic.
Here goes my virtual questionnaire with Brunna:
- What do you do?
I am a fashion designer where I conceptualize and visualize ideas into garments and ready to wear. I work on the Finance team of a non-for-profit organization, human service accrediting organization. Founded in 1977, our mission is to partner with human service organizations worldwide to improve service delivery outcomes by developing, applying, and promoting accreditation standards…. resulting in the well-being of individuals, families, and communities.
I also minister in dance; ushering people into a space of worship, praise and celebration.
- What is one thing you would you like the audience to know about you?
My life revolves and is driven by God and my growth in him. I love the arts!! One of my goals is to join fashion with dance and create something glorious. Currently in the process of building a dance team that performs at weddings and different celebratory events displaying different fashion garments through dance. - How do you deal with failures, hardships, judgmental and pessimistic people?
My best way in dealing with failure hardship and pessimism is revisiting my vision board. This allows me to refuel and refocus. Praying is also key for me. I’m able vent and wail before my Creator knowing he hears and understands.
- What is the one thing that you would say contributed most to your success?
One thing that has contributed most to my success is my upbringing and the foundation my parents has laid in morals, discipline, companionship and faith. This has in turn given me an advantage in that my outlook and perspective of life was fixed in the right direction from a young age. Building is always easier than rebuilding.
- What advice would you offer women wanting to be like you and make a difference?
One advice I would give is to make your vision plain. Knowing you want success is only the tip of the iceberg. A solid plan to your destination in WRITING is a great way to stay on track and keep focus. Write it, Enlarge it, Display it, Declare it.
I’m stronger with her. Her ambition of continual pursuance of goals upon goals is quite motivating. I’ve learned from her that no matter what I’ve accomplished, I can always pursue other dreams. You can follow ALL your dreams one after another. You want it? It can be acquired. Go full force on your dreams
