Dear Mary
“There is Greatness in your Womb”
[[Based on a True Story:]]
Dear Mary,
How do you look people in the eyes with the same innocent you once used now that it seems like you’ve been living a lie all along. It had to be hard for you to persuade people to believe that you are pregnant by the “Holy Spirit.” These quotation marks aren’t to disapprove the actuality of the events but rather the people’s disgust to believe it. “Yeah right, Holy Spirit my … you know what” they say. Because this phenomenon deviated from scientific process of conception you were under great scrutiny. The disgrace and the baby you had to carry for these 9 months must have been mortifying. Having to tell your fiancé that you are pregnant and yet still a virgin is utterly farfetched. This is beyond the bounds of possibility. God used your decency to demonstrate His dominance.
With all of that, I say that I admire your creed. You’ve followed through with God’s plan even at its cost. The cost of your reputation.
Modern day Mary,
Being that you aren’t pregnant with the Holy Spirit, I can only imagine the shame that you have to deal with because you are a Christian girl impregnated and unwedded. To make your matter worst, they didn’t even know you were dating anyone. “Is he going to marry her.” “How long have they been sexing?” “In her mother’s house? How disrespectful!” Now, all eyes are on you… the wrong eyes. A guilty secret like this is hard to keep under wraps. You are growing too big to disguise your pregnancy in church or at home. What an experience of embarrassment. People look down at you. Their whispers belittle you and their condemnations encumber you. Maybe you got impregnanted in an unfortunate situation. You want nothing to do with the child. You are caught between a rock and a hard place. You are faced with a difficult situation where you have to choose between two equally unpleasant courses of action, adoption or abortion.
Don’t you allow people’s displeasure torment you. Your life isn’t condemned by your sin because Jesus paid the ransom. Let me be clear, you aren’t free to sin, but you are free from its wage. Put away the humiliation and the anguish. Don’t abort, don’t put the baby for adoption, there is greatness in your womb and you have to raise the baby. Pick up your strength, dignity. Motherhood awaits you.
Strongly together & Inspired by,
Friend
