Jennifer Sam – Stronger with Her

Creativity is the red viscous fluid that flows through Jennifer’s blood vessels. She is either entertaining people, playwriting, or playing with children. She is always encircled by children, no exaggeration. She is a preschool educator on weekdays. In the evening she goes home to care for her husband, Gerry and her two children, Geremiah and Isaiah. On Sundays she is teaching Sunday school at the church. Yet during the summer break you will find her in the church teaching Vocational Bible School. Withal she manages to enroll in graduate school. I’ve witnessed and esteemed how enduring she is when trials come. As life threw at her the sourest lemon that you can think of, combining her creativeness and faithfulness she made the sweetest lemonade that you can think of. I’m quenched with the faith found in each glass of lemonade.

Here goes my virtual questionnaire with Jennifer:

1. What is one thing you would you like the audience to know about you?
I am a woman of God who enjoys the creative/performing arts and love to help others around me succeed.

2. How do you deal with failures, hardships, judgmental and pessimistic people?
Prayer and meditation is key. Life is hard but I pray harder. When I fail, I dust myself off and keep moving. There are times I cry, get angry, and frustrated but I hold on to the word of God to sustain me. I try not to stress and put everything in God’s hands.

3. What is the one thing that you would say contributed most to your success?
My success is due to the encouragement of my mother, her prayers, and the way she raised me. She influenced me to be hard working and independent. My sister as well, she’s always motivating and encouraging me to be better. She’s my number one fan, near or far.

4.What advice would you offer women wanting to be like you and make a difference?
The key to success is to truly love God and obey his word. Love thy neighbor as you love yourself. Help others, encourage them, support them and pray for them. Do everything with integrity and sincerity. Be humble always and give thanks to God for your many blessings. Treat yourself to chocolate cake, wine, and the spa every now and then. Laugh out loud and find your joy in God.

I am stronger with her. Though her life’s journey has had some serious pitfalls and persecution, she never allowed them to repel her from God. Rather, it propelled her to run and remain at His feet. I’m inspired to be immovable in my faith in God when the trials come.

Here’s to divine and explosive blessings over your life Jennifer,
Cheers!
