Dear Eve

Dear Eve
“If God said, ‘No’ then no it is.”
[[Based on a True Story: Genesis]]

Dear Eve,

You are the bona fide First Lady, first woman ever – God’s objective and prototype for women. We are all a replicas of you. Being that you are the truest first lady, you became the first wife, mother and grandmother. Still and all, we mainly remember you as notorious, for disobeying your husband’s leadership. You were the first to commit such crime, you weren’t the last one though. Many have dared to be as daring as you were.

Down the road, all the women sort of turned out to be like you, I mean can you blame us? We had no other representation to shadow. Here is the misfortune; your mistake became our mistake. Your defiance became our defiance. Your punishment became our punishment. I don’t want to beat the dead horse, but why? Why did you do it? Girl power? Feminism? Equal rights?

Deception! You were deceived. The deceiver was utterly cunning in the matter he approached you. He knew what you knew, what you didn’t know and what you weren’t sure of. What you weren’t sure of, he exploited and outmaneuvered you! It cost you your life in the garden. Alas, it cost me my life in the garden. It cost all of us.

Modern day Eve you are under immense pressure. Perhaps you are the first daughter; first to go away to college, first to graduate college, first to get married, I mean you name it. Be that as it may, the amount of eyes staring at you is nerve-racking. You are expected to achieve them all exceedingly. There is no room for screw-ups. There is another side to your life as if your load was heavy laden enough. There is an enemy who is out to make sure you fail. He wants your business, marriage, ministry to fail. He sets many booby traps for you. You have now become a little mouse ensnared in a box with one way of exit, left to ruin. If you aren’t cautious, you will be taken prisoner. Beware! If taken captive, many will be held captive with you. In the end, no one will want to be around you because you are trouble. Being acquainted to you will make them susceptible to punitive measures, guilty by association. Your actions have consequences so act vigilantly. Take heed that you don’t lead others astray. Provided that it looks good to you and God said no, shun it. Your obedience will save your life. In company with that, know the Word of God. Leave no knowledge un-acquired.

Strongly together & Inspired by,
Friend

  1. Amen Sis! This post really blessed me. I definitely see myself as “Eve “ in many ways. First and foremost, I have been the first in my family to do many things. Moreover, I have had the opportunity to be in leadership roles over various women. Thanks for the fresh reminder that every decision I make should be in line with God’s word. Furthermore, thanks for reminding me that there are many women counting on me succeed.
